Our Guitar Courses:
We offer courses in a variety of genres and for all ages and ability levels. We can also customize courses to meet the needs of our students. More detailed descriptions are available by clicking the links on this page. Most of these classes are available in a private, one-on-one lesson format. Each private guitar lesson will be fully customized and designed to meet the student’s unique needs.

| Classical Guitar Lessons | One of our signature programs, our classical guitar program has courses available for all levels, from complete beginners to professional concert guitarists. Classical guitar training can be beneficial for guitarists of all genres. Our patient, down-to-earth guitar instructors are both performing musicians and master teachers who can help you make the most of your potential. | Flamenco Guitar Lessons | Flamenco guitar is another of our signature programs. We offer courses in all levels. Beginners are, of course, welcome, as are seasoned professionals. Our highly-qualified, world-class teachers can simplify the complexities of Flamenco terminology and technique and have you playing authentic Flamenco music in no time. If you cannot read music, no worries! Our teachers use the traditional method in which students listen to the teacher explain the technique, observe the teacher demonstrate the skill, then try the skill under the watchful eye of the teacher. | Latin and World Guitar Lessons | World and Latin guitar music is a passion of our Los Angeles Guitar Academy faculty. Most have studied world music at the graduate level, including one instructor who holds a doctoral minor in ethnomusicology. We believe that learning the music of diverse cultures helps build bridges of understanding among people with varying ethnic backgrounds. | Children’s Guitar Lessons | We have a variety of courses designed especially for children. If your child is interested in one of our other courses not listed on our children’s page, our instructors can tailor their lesson plan to cover almost any topic in a kid-friendly manner. We welcome students with all sorts of learning styles. Our friendly guitar teachers make kids feel at home. | Guitar Pedagogy Courses | Want to teach the guitar but do not have the time or the money to enroll in a university full time? Guitar pedagogy is the art of teaching others to play the guitar. Our guitar pedagogy courses will prepare you to teach the guitar to beginning and intermediate guitarists, while preparing you for the rigors of conservatory-level pedagogy courses, should you have future plans to enroll in a university or music school to study guitar pedagogy. We also have a teaching assistant program for students who meet our standards, which provides students with an opportunity to earn money while learning the art of teaching the guitar.
